BUMP by Chiara Atick; A Sloan Project Commission Reading directed by Claudia Weill
EST-Sloan.jpg

I have had the abject honor of participating as an actor in the development of this script over the last two years.  Over many titles, drafts, workshops and readings it has grown into a deeply moving and funny play. We will have an invited audience reading for the Sloan Foundation and Ensemble Studio Theatre this Friday, November 10th.  Surely this beautiful play will have a life in the lights soon - stay tuned!

THE PATRIOT by Joe Sutton; a Memberfest Reading directed by William Carden

Thrilled to be participating in a works-in-progress reading of The Patriot by the award-winning Joe Sutton.  A scathing look at the content and ethics of contemporary TV news, I get to play an incendiary conservative political sect leader who says and does the horrific in the name of "patriotism." Sure to be a thought-provoking afternoon.  4:00 at Ensemble Studio Theatre, 545 W. 52nd Street, 2nd Floor Theatre - no reservation necessary.

Asking for Trouble 2017
Series C.jpg

2017 marks my 10th annual Asking for Trouble at the Ensemble Studio Theatre!  Every year, EST’s under-30 playwrights program, Youngblood, launches the season with this riotous and magical speed theatre festival.  25 playwrights draw their actors, director, title and inspiration item out of a hat, have a week to write a 10-15 minute play, have 5-6 hours to rehearse the cast (including tech), and then launch 3 fully produced performances.  This year’s inspiration items were amendments to the Constitution. The gobsmackingly talented writer Brittany Allen drew myself, and the amazing Erin Cherry, Michael Grew & Richard Thieriot for her cast, Dara Molina for her director, Masc 4 Masc as her title, and the 3rd Amendment as her inspiration. Hijinks ensue - catch us next week, and then we are gone…
